Tourist comments Hi,
My name is Steve Campell, I am from England and this is my third visit to Leam Sing.
Please allow me to share some of my experiences here with you in the hope that they may help to enrich your stay.
My favourite restaurant by far is Guays. From the Siri Hotel head right and follow the path to the beach, it is the first restaurant on the right, delicious fresh seafood and great value!
A favourite activity of mine is to hire a boat from the beach or the harbour and spend the afternoon visiting the nearby islands and fishing (all equipment and bait usually supplied). On many occasions Guay has cooked our catch while we sip a cold beer and watch the sun set.
Another pasttime is to kayak or boat across the water to explore the headland. You can find an ancient monument, a small nature park, and a trail that leads to the highest point where you can climb the lighthouse for some spectacular views. Oh and don't forget to take some bananas for the monkeys!
Through the hotel we also arranged to visit a local farm to see how they cultivate crabs, fish and prawns. On the way you may pass some locals watching a cockfight.
On a trip further afield we have visited nearby Ko Chang, various waterfalls and religious sites including a treck to the top of Kow Chichikut, a pilgrimage for Thai Budhists.
But most of all I just enjoy being here, the people are so friendly. If you let them they will make your stay a memorable one.
I hope you enjoy your stay in Laem Sing. |
