We were excited to go to Laemsing after reading such positive reports on this site and booked into the Siri Hotel. The people at the Siri were so lovely and helpful that they began to feel like extended family.
A short walk from the hotel is the marine bar with the equally lovely Graham. Everynight we would sit in the marine bar and have dinner and drinks and pass the night away with the stories of the day.Graham joined us every evening and soon the marine bar felt like an extended version of home. We even had a pet pig and two lovely dogs.
During the days we hired scooters and went to the water fall to feed the fish handfulls green beans, we spent a day with the dolphins and in the evening we went to feed the monkeys at the local temple. During our stay there were only 3 other tourists, which was a welcome thing after a short stay in Pattaya. The thai people everywhere we went were so friendly and always made us feel welcome in their country.
When we were leaving the people from the hotel took us to the bus stop. We were so sad to be leaving. When the bus came one of the older guys from the hotel turned up on his scooter to wave us goodbye. It was such a sweet gesture that myself and my friend cried all the way back to Bangkok. I have never been anywhere in the world that made me cry when it was time to leaving.
What more can I say...You come to Laemsing as strangers but soon feel like you have gained an extended family.
